Cumulative Operated Cases, By Centre, From August 2023 to November 2025
Since it began in August 2023, the Zamfara State Special Modified Medical Outreach has run across all treatment centres in the state: Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital, Federal Medical Centre Gusau, General Hospital Gusau, Farida VVF Centre Gusau, and Eye Centre Gusau.
The cumulative record, tracked outreach by outreach, spans cataract extractions, groin swellings (hernias, hydroceles and related conditions), and Vesico-Vaginal Fistula (VVF) repairs, alongside a special segment for sero-positive and other complex cases.
The full, up-to-date breakdown by centre and by outreach — including the running grand total — is published on the About page and on the home page, and is updated as each new outreach round is completed.
A note on the numbers: because some patients required procedures on both sides of the body or at more than one site, the total number of operations performed is higher than the total number of individuals treated.
